Join us at Schmidek Pond on Saturday, September 7th, 2024 to come give fishing a try. We have the rods and lures, all you need to do is bring yourself!
When: Saturday, September 7, 2024
Time: 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Where: Schmidek Pond, 36371 Hwy 766, Spruce View.
On Hwy 54 West to Hwy 766 (right) to residence 36371, turn right after property (follow the signs) Parking: Parking at site 3 km west and 3 km north right hand side of Spruce View. Tip: Drive to Spruce View and follow Google Map directions from there since it tends to be unreliable otherwise.

Registration will be limited to 100 participants, but family members are welcome to attend to support and assist them.
Important Info
- Fishing mentors will be on site to assist new anglers.
- Conservation officers will be on site for education and training.
- Bring your own fishing rod, if you have one. Rods will be available to borrow if you don't have one.
- No live bait. Bait will be provided.
- Anglers can take caught fish home. Fish will be prepped for transport.
- Lunch and beverages will be provided.
- Lifejackets are required. A limited number of extras will be available to borrow if you do not have one.
- Photographer will be on site.
