Lesser Slave Lake
There’s never a better time for Kids Can Catch than Alberta’s Family Fishing Weekend. Join the Lesser Slave Lake Watershed Council on Saturday, February 17 to give ice fishing a try.
A huge thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and most importantly, anglers! Thanks for coming out and making Lesser Slave Lake Kids Can Katch a success. We hope you all had a blast and we can’t wait to see you at our next event!
Registration: www.albertakidscancatch.com starting February 1. Drop-ins are welcome.
At the event: The event is on Lesser Slave Lake, accessed from the Hamlet of Joussard. Bring your own rod or borrow one of ours, find a pre-drilled hole, and drop a line. Fishing mentors are on the ice with information and advice on fishing, ice safety, fish conservation, and much more!
- Lesser Slave Lake Kids Can Catch takes place on Alberta’s Family Fishing Weekend, so no fishing licences are required.
- Hot chocolate and roasting marshmallows are on-hand to warm you up, while supplies last.
