Dr. Mark Boyce

Mark Boyce is the Alberta Conservation Association Chair in Fisheries and Wildlife at the University of Alberta. This is a professorship endowed by ACA to ensure that applied fisheries and wildlife research is being conducted at the University of Alberta. In this capacity Mark supervises a number of graduate students who are conducting field studies on a diversity of wildlife species including upland game birds, furbearers, and large mammals. His research specialty is habitat modelling and population dynamics. Mark is an avid hunter and angler and maintains a registered trapline near Nordegg, Alberta. He was named International Conservationist of the Year by Safari Club International in 2007.
