Sandra Foss
Sandra Foss is currently (2008) Past President of the Federation of Alberta Naturalists (FAN) - and representing the Alberta naturalist community, FAN's representative on the Alberta Conservation Association Board. She has been a FAN Board member for a dozen years.
Sandra has been involved in water, forestry and fisheries issues for many years. Jumpingpound Chapter of Trout Unlimited twice recognized her for her work to "preserve Alberta's wild trout": As well, Nature Canada has recognized her contributions to conservation in Canada, and the Calgary Field Naturalists honoured her for fostering collaborations and partnerships with groups sharing similar visions.
Her involvement with naturalist groups and granting organizations in a variety of capacities, over many years, gives her a broad base of experience to draw on. A long time Cochrane resident, Sandra spends as much time as possible enjoying outdoor activities such as hiking, paddling, ski touring and wildlife watching!
She is dedicated to ensuring the continued diversity of Alberta's wildlife/fish resource continues, so that her children and grandchildren have the opportunity to enjoy similar outdoor experiences.
