Waterfowl Crop Damage Control Program
The Waterfowl Crop Damage Control Program makes scare cannons available to producers through a network of distribution centres located in areas where waterfowl crop damage is common. The provincial map on the right highlights the four ACA regions. Markers within the regions represent scare cannon distribution centres and are colour coded according to the total number of requests each distribution center has received this season (see legend below). Scare cannon use can indicate areas of waterfowl concentration. Producers wishing to enlist the help of hunters to enhance crop damage prevention efforts can contact the coordinator listed for their region.
