Parking: Parking is located on site in the parking lot or street parking on the corner of 50 Avenue and 52 Street.

Join us during Pioneer Days at Echo Glen Park Pond on Saturday, July 9 to give fishing a try! Please note, spots are limited, so be sure to register to guarantee your spot!


  • Bring your own rod if you have one; otherwise, there will be rods to borrow.
  • Fishing mentors will be on hand to help new anglers.
  • Information will be available on fishing and conservation.
  • Fun giveaways will be available for participants, while supplies last.

Gibbons Kids Can Catch is held during the annual Gibbons Pioneer Days. The Saturday includes a parade, children’s activities at the museum, a farmers’ market, show n’ shine, and more! Learn more at

Alberta Sportfishing Regulations apply to this event. Residents of Alberta who are under 16 and over 65 years old do not need a licence to fish. Adult residents of Alberta need a licence to fish. Adults accompanying children (under 16) do not need a licence as long as they are not fishing. Visit for more information.
