Grants Overview
Grants supporting Conservation in Alberta
Supporting scientific and non-research based projects, Alberta Conservation Association's (ACA) Grants Program provides funding to benefit Alberta’s wildlife and fish populations, and the habitat they depend on. Funded by the province’s hunters and anglers, these popular grants have distributed over $25 million to research and conservation-related projects supporting Alberta.
ACA Conservation, Community, and Education Grants
This non-research based grant funds hunter, trapper, and angler retention, recruitment, and/or conservation education in Alberta. It supports activities that conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, and their habitat.
ACA Research Grants
This grant funds projects carried out by professional researchers who inform the effective management of wildlife and fish populations and habitat in Alberta.
ACA Grants in Biodiversity
This grant is open to graduate students from any university in the world who are studying the flora, fauna, or habitats of Alberta. This grant is supported by Syncrude Canada Ltd.
Minister's Special Licence Resident Draw Grants
The grants are fully funded by the MSL Raffle and supported by Alberta hunters and anglers. Since 1995, the MSL raffles have raised millions of dollars for conservation.
