University and research institution faculty, anyone qualified to conduct high-quality research in Alberta. Students and post-doctoral fellows cannot apply directly. ACA and Government employees can’t apply. |
Any organization, community group, or individual*, except for ACA and Government employees. *individuals should have appropriate insurance coverage |

Supporting research in biodiversity, conservation biology, ecology, and related social science approaches that relate to flora, fauna, and habitat in Alberta. Promoting the development of highly qualified, Alberta-based conservation biologists. |
Supporting research projects to meet and further ACA’s mission: "ACA conserves, protects, and enhances fish and wildlife populations and their habitats for Albertans to enjoy, value, and use." Also, supporting high-quality research projects on wildlife, fish, and habitat that inform the effective management of wildlife and fish populations and their habitat in Alberta. |
